| Details: | Do you want to earn free kits? Join us for Saturday Sampler on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. beginning May 2023 through November 2023. You will get a fabric kit to make a 12-inch block from any Lori Holt book. Lori Holt books can be purchased from Creekside Fabrics, Quilts & Yarn. Saturday Sampler Rules Round 7 – Any Lori Holt Block Meeting Dates: Meetings are held the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. May 13 (1st kit handed out), June 10 (show block from May kit) July 8 (show block from June kit) August 12 (show block from July kit) September 9 (show block from August kit) October 14 (show block from September kit) November 11 (show block from October kit) Registration Fee: $72.00 To receive a FREE kit for your block each month, the following rules apply: You must be present either on Zoom or sign in at the store before the cow bell rings at the starting time of the meeting (10:00) otherwise you will be considered late or absent and your next block will no longer be free. Participants will receive an e-mail on Friday prior to each meeting from Margie Price or Creekside Fabrics Quilts & Yarn containing a Zoom link for the meetings. YOU must show (on Zoom or bring to the meeting) your completed block from the previous month in addition to the book that you made your block(s) from. No one can show/bring your block for you. You must continue with the size originally chosen for the entire six (6) months. In other words, you cannot get a 6-inch block one month and a 12-inch block the next month, etc. However, you may register for both the 6-inch and 12-inch blocks if you want both sizes. If you are unable to attend a meeting (including the first meeting), you can purchase a kit the next time you are in the store or a friend can purchase a kit for you at a cost of only $6.00 plus tax for the 6-inch block and $12 plus tax for the 12-inch block. Show or bring the completed block to the next meeting and start getting the kits FREE again. You must stay on Zoom or in the store for the entire meeting. Only one FREE block per person. However, if you have signed up for both the 6-inch block and the 12-inch block, you are entitled to one free block of each size. Kits for the next block will be available for pick up at the store on the day of the Saturday Sampler meeting. You will be making one block each month for six months from any of Lori Holt's books. Kits for 6-inch blocks will consist of one cut of background fabric (6" x 21") and four cuts of Lori Holt's prints (4" x 14"). Kits for 12-inch blocks will consist of one cut of background fabric (12-inch x 21-inch) and four cuts of Lori Holt's prints (6" x 21"). If you choose to make a block that has more than four prints in it, you will have to pull from your stash to complete the block or purchase fabric from the store (1/8 th yard minimum cut.) In fairness, these rules will apply to everyone at all times. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Please do not ask a store employee or me to make an exception for any reason as it puts everyone in an uncomfortable situation to re-explain the rules. After all, the kits are only $6.00 plus tax for the 6-inch block and $12 plus tax for the 12-inch blocks.
