Lil Bit Batty - Tucker University Quilt Class
This adorable Tucker University quilt from the gals at Tucker University will help you learn a few of the Studio 180 Design Tools! It features the ever-popular Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star strip-piecing technique, using no templates and no paper piecing! This is an Advanced Beginner/Intermediate sewing class, but a Beginner Studio 180 Design Tools class as you will learn the basics of the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star and Tucker Trimmer III tools. If Studio 180 Design is brand new to you, this fun class is the one for you!
Heather Abasch will be teaching! She is a Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor!
The class fee includes the material for the quilt top. There are two pieces of required equipment for this class if you do not have them they are available at Creekside, the link is below for you to add to your cart.
Please be sure to bring the Tucker Trimmer III Tool and the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star Tool to class. Those who come without it, will be required to purchase them at the shop before the class starts.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
- Tucker Trimmer III tool - BUY Here
- Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool - BUY Here
- Quilter’s Magic Wand - highly recommended - BUY Here
- Sewing Machine
- Neutral Colored Thread
- Cutting Mat - small to medium recommended
- General Purpose Cutting Ruler - 6” x 12” recommended
- Must have a 45 degree line on it
- Basic Supplies such as Scissors, Pins, Seam Ripper, etc.
- Rotary Cutter - new blade recommended
- Mechanical Pencil or Fine Line Marker, and White Pencil or
- Marker if using a dark background or batiks
Optional:
- Sewing lamp for additional light
- Chair pad or cushion
- Extension cord
- Camera
- Notebook & pen
- For full refund, class cancellation must be made 7 days in advance before the first class date.
- Cancellations made after that time will receive any class kit they purchased, and they are welcome to come to Open Sew to get help with the project.
- In the event that Creekside Fabrics, Quilts, & Yarn must cancel a class, individuals who register for that class will be contacted and given a full refund.
