Basic Embroidery Class
Learn the basics of machine embroidery
- what stabilizers to use
- how to do freestanding lace(FSL) and applique
- embroidery terms and more
This is a hands on workshop. Please bring your working embroidery machine, basic colors of machine embroidery thread, bobbins to fit your machine, 75/11 needles, basic sewing supplies (scissors, seam ripper etc.) You MUST have knowledge of how your machine works.
Lunch is on your own (we order from Marcos and a lunch special is about $13.00) or you can bring your own.
The store opens at 9:30 so you can come in and set up and are ready to begin class at 10:00.
If you are thinking about machine embroidery and don't have an embroidery machine, you can rent one of ours for $15.00. Machines are limited and are only for those who don't have an embroidery machine.
Class/Event Refund Policy: This class has a 2 week cancellation police due to the need to order supplies.
- For full refund, class cancellation must be made 14 days in advance before the first class date.
- Cancellations made after that time will receive any class kit they purchased, and they are welcome to come to Open Sew to get help with the project.
- In the event that Creekside Fabrics, Quilts, & Yarn must cancel a class, individuals who register for that class will be contacted and given a full refund.
- Creekside Fabrics, Quilts, & Yarn reserves the right to change these policies at any time.
