About Creekside Fabrics, Quilts & More

Hi! Stephanie here! My husband and I purchased Creekside Fabrics, Quilts & Yarn from Sandy Pirdy and Ed Pirdy in September 2022. Sandy opened Creekside Fabrics, Quilts & Yarn in 2004.

Here at Creekside, we are always looking for ways to inspire you to create! We want you to enjoy your hobby and we are here to help you learn new techniques and create beautiful things!

I started sewing at my grandmother's knee. While she worked on her hand embroidery, she would set me up with a needle and yarn to fish through plastic canvas. She taught me to read a pattern and even crochet a chain stitch. She bought me my first sewing machine when I was 12. I worked on doll clothes and even some clothing for myself. In high school I made my home coming dresses with the guidance of my Home-Ec teacher. I started quilting after I had children. I would stop into Sandy's shop and visit with her. I always wanted to see what was new!

Walking into Sandy's shop was always warm and welcoming! Whoever was working would make sure to make you feel right at home! We hope to continue that tradition in welcoming you to our little shop!
